Everything You Need to Know About Our Dog Training

We offer a wide variety of training services based on the specific needs of you and your dog. Depending on the training package, we offer on-leash and off-leash obedience, daily private training sessions, exercise and socialization, and command learning in 10-day, 15-day, and 30-day options. This training is followed up by home training and a session with the owner/handler. We also provide aggression, protection, and sports training programs.

Tools used vary, depending on each dog. Some common tools we use are dog crates, mini educators, slip leads, food, and toys. With that said, we understand that there are many misconceptions regarding certain tools we realize knowing how to properly use them humanly provides us the opportunity to educate owners and make a transition easier, the use of the tools will also vary on how dog owners follow the process at home.

We are balanced dog trainers. Our commands are positive, so the dog should not be corrected if you ask for a command but should not follow a command only because of a treat. So there is one single correction, and it’s with the Off. This is only in any unresolved command or misbehavior episode.

We reward good behavior with food and affection and focus on lifting the dog’s confidence, we are open on making recommendations on tools depending on the dog’s behavior, temperament, breed and relationship with the owner, so we don’t have a set up program, we personalized the program depending on the dog, we make sure each dog finish the program tail wagging and more confidence than when arrived for training, please watch the following video, this is a couple of clips made in follow ups sessions after the doggies finish training with us:

After browsing our website and deciding which program aligns with your goals, you can contact us by phone, email, or by going to our office. We may also schedule a consultation between our trainer and your dog. Once we know which package your dog requires, we’ll book them, reserve the dates, and arrange your payment method.

Please check your dog’s medical records and ensure that they have the following:

DHP (annual)

Rabies (1 or 3 year)

Bordetella (within 6 months)

Clear fecal exam (within 6 months)

Commonly, we see that dogs don’t meet the Bordetella 6 month requirement because they are not regularly in contact with other dogs. If this is the case, let your veterinarian know about this change and make sure the booster is administered.

Sure thing! You can schedule a tour by contacting us through our website.

Your dogs will be treated with the best care, staying in an indoor, air conditioned boarding facility.

Due to the range of dogs in our care, we ask that you don’t send any toys, bowls, brushes, or bedding materials; these will be provided as needed. Please send ONLY your dog’s food and biscuits.

Yes. We work with puppies to establish strong foundations in obedience, socialization, and proper behavior. Early training helps prevent common behavioral issues and builds a positive relationship between you and your dog.

We had such a great experience
with GIFMAF team!

“We had such a great experience with GIFMAF team! From the very beginning, the staff made us feel welcome and really took the time to get to know our dog and what we were hoping to work on. Everyone there is incredibly friendly and clearly passionate about what they do, which made the whole process enjoyable for both us and our pup. Our dog was reactive with other dogs and squirrels!! But now we really enjoyed walking everywhere because he is so different now!”
